Considering they haven't released any details about Chapter 2 yet...I'd just wait.

not ussually, although in CoD the game went from running great 1024/768 high details to LOTS of alg on 800/600 with low details =

dude they cant introduce anything graphically. They'd have to rewrite the engine (which means downloading a huge truckload of engine data). Plus, the new areas will have to be synched with the new engine, which (possibly) means lots of updates in ur dat files (which grow 2 over 1.4 gigs).
Nope, I think u needn't worry!! Chapter 2 is a loooong way away dude. |

It'll probably be like EQ. Small graphical updates each expansion. Guild Wars 2 will have a mjor engine overhaul. My guess, anyways. Its the most economically sound, especially considering GW is free.

You don't need a major engine overhaul to change graphics. At least not necessarily. Nothing says they're using the maximum texture size or maximum amount of polygons on objects supported by the engine now. Heck, nothing says the engine doesn't support dynamic lighting either. All we know is that it isn't enabled NOW.

Somehow, especially due to collision errors, invisible barriers, vaporous rocks and others, I doubt that Guild Wars will come to support dynamic lighting. More polygons is possible, but ANet likes to keep things real for low level comps.

Won't be a whole new graphics system to resell what they've already sold.
